The three formats

American
Positive numbers show the profit on a $100 bet: +150 means a $100 bet wins $150. Negative numbers show what you must bet to win $100: −200 means you bet $200 to win $100.
Decimal
The total return per $1 bet, stake included. A price of 2.50 returns $2.50 for every $1 bet, the same as +150.
Fractional
The profit per unit bet. 6/4 means 6 profit for every 4 bet, the same as decimal 2.50 and American +150.
Implied probability
1 ÷ decimal price. A price of 2.50 (+150) implies 40%.

Formulas

decimal = 1 + American ÷ 100 (American ≥ +100)

decimal = 1 + 100 ÷ |American| (American ≤ −100)

decimal = 1 + numerator ÷ denominator

American odds are rounded to whole numbers. Fractions follow the conventional ladder sportsbooks use (for example 11/10 rather than 21/19), so a converted fraction may be rounded slightly.
