Responsible gaming
Betting should be entertainment you can afford, never a way to make money or to solve problems. Sportsbooks are for adults only: 21+ in most states. Gambling problem? Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
Ground rules
- Set a budget you can afford to lose, and stick to it.
- Decide in advance how much time you will spend.
- Never chase losses by betting more to win them back.
- Don't bet when you are upset, stressed, tired or have been drinking.
- Betting is not a source of income: over time the sportsbook's margin works against you (how payout works).
- Use the deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion that licensed sportsbooks must offer.
Warning signs
- Spending more money or time on betting than you intended.
- Borrowing money or selling things to bet.
- Hiding your betting from family or friends.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you are not betting.
- Betting to escape problems or to win back losses.
- Neglecting work, school or the people close to you.
If you recognize these signs in yourself or someone close to you, talk to someone you trust and get professional help: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, or ask your doctor about treatment.
Where to get help
United States
- Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, the national problem gambling helpline of the National Council on Problem Gambling: free, confidential and open 24/7.
- Each state with legal sports betting has its own self-exclusion program, and many have their own helpline; licensed sportsbooks must show them. Bet only with sportsbooks licensed by your state's regulator.
Czechia
- The Ministry of Finance keeps a register of people excluded from gambling (Rejstřík vyloučených osob). Licensed operators must check it, and you can ask to be added to it.
- Bet only with operators on the Ministry of Finance list of licensed operators.
Slovakia
- The Gambling Regulatory Authority (ÚRHH) keeps the register of excluded persons (Register vylúčených osôb).
- Bet only on websites on the ÚRHH list of licensed websites.
Poland
- Bet only with bookmakers on the Ministry of Finance list of legal operators. Betting with unlicensed operators is an offense in Poland.
- Licensed bookmakers offer tools to limit or pause your betting.

Montenegro

- By law, licensed operators must tell you where to get help with excessive gambling.
Croatia
- The Croatian Institute of Public Health (HZJZ) keeps the Register of Excluded Players (Registar isključenih igrača). One request excludes you from all gambling operators, from three months up to permanently. You can apply yourself, online through e-Građani, or through a social welfare center or an addiction service.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia
- We show no bookmakers there. If gambling is causing problems, talk to your doctor, who can refer you to addiction treatment.
United Kingdom
Romania
- The National Gambling Office (ONJN) keeps the register of self-excluded players. One request bars you from every licensed operator, online and in gaming halls; you can apply at ONJN or through a licensed operator.
- Bet only with operators on the ONJN list of Class I licensees.
Protecting minors
Gambling is for adults only. If children use your phone or computer, use parental controls and keep betting apps and accounts out of their reach. Nothing on scanodds is aimed at minors.
What scanodds does
- We show only sportsbooks licensed in your state or country, and none at all where that is not allowed.
- Every sportsbook module carries the warnings and helpline your state or country requires.
- We never promise winnings and never present betting as a skill or a way to earn money.
- This page carries no sportsbook names or links.
